Baker's Rack Mini Makeover

When we moved into our current home, I moved to a much smaller kitchen with no pantry.  It has taken some adjusting, but I do love this home!  One wall of the kitchen, holds a microwave on a microwave cart, my Great-Grandmother's stepstool/chair (painted red) that holds a small wicker basket that my hubby keeps his work papers in, and my baker's rack.  Storage is a necessity in this kitchen.  Here's the top of the baker's rack.  The large wooden box on the second shelf is a recipe box that is filled with baking recipes only.  My non-baking recipes are in the striped box next to the apple cookie jar.
Here's the problem.  The bottom shelf is a catch-all.  Extra pop, canning jars, commercial sized plastic wrap and aluminum foil (Sam's Club...check it out!), potatoes, my handy-dandy handheld vac that I use daily on the stairs, a large vase I love, and my hand painted butter churn.  UGLY all together.  What to do....what to do....  Well, butter churn to better location.  Pretty white vase I love to the entry to sit on top of small table there.  And the rest.....organize as much as I can, and then........
HIDE IT!!!   Three dollar vinyl flannel back tablecloth from Big Lots! I cut it to size with pinking shears.  Two strips from side to side and one large strip front to back.
Ahhhh...so much better.  Still easy access to the things under there I need, but I don't have to look at them ALL OF THE TIME!!!
Oh, did you see my breadbox...white with apples on it?  Kids' school snacks kept there.  Bought it at an estate sale for a dollar.  Oh, yeah!
Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by!
